Ganna Sakanyan

Ganna Sakanyan, MPH, Ph.D. graduated from Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) (Faculty of Preventive Medicine) in 1996 and completed the Residency program at the Department of Epidemiology. Dr. Sakanyan earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the American University of Armenia (AUA) in 2003 and, in 2007, completed her Ph.D. thesis defense. Since graduation, she served in many positions at YSMU, including Coordinator of the “Health and Law” educational program (2007-2008) implemented in partnership with the Open Society Institute, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department (2007-2011), and Scientific Secretary of the Faculty of Postgraduate and Continuing Education (2011-2020). Dr. Sakanyan is the Associate Professor at the Department of Public health and Health Care Organization at the (YSMU). She has published about 55 scientific papers and abstracts.
