Dr. Knarik Sargsyan is a dedicated infectious diseases specialist with extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and medical education. After earning her MD from Yerevan State Medical University and completing a clinical residency in infectious diseases at the “Nork” Infectious Clinical Hospital, she has worked across Armenia’s leading healthcare institutions. Currently, she serves as the Quality Manager of Medical Services at the National Center for Infectious Diseases and is the Principal Investigator for a Medecins du Monde project focused on simplifying hepatitis C pathways among high-risk populations. In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Sargsyan is actively involved in national vaccination education initiatives and holds lecturer positions at both the Erebuni Medical Academy and the National Medical Chamber.
Throughout her career, Dr. Sargsyan has combined her medical expertise with a strong commitment to public health and academic advancement. She has participated in WHO-supported training programs, contributed to government-funded COVID-19 research, and published 13 articles in international scientific journals. Her research interests include the clinical and immunological features of COVID-19 and its complications, including related mycoses. Fluent in English and proficient in Russian, she continues to play a leading role in shaping Armenia’s infectious disease response through both frontline care and professional education.
